HWS for June 14, 2011

FOR TOMORROW:


CHEM
1. Bring Lab Gown tomorrow.
2. Answer the Rate Law homework on a one whole sheet of paper. Expect it to be submitted.
3. Bring the required materials per group and with the box to contain it. For the materials:

• 6 medicine droppers (graduated)
• rags
• tissue paper
• liquid detergent
• soap
• masking tape
• permanent ink
• towel
• spatula (the jollibee-type of spoon used for stirring coffee/hot choco :-bd)

BIO

1. Do some advance reading on the remaining phases in the interphase and a bit of mitosis, because we might reach up to there. For the bio site, click here or check the right side of this site for the list of links.

2. You should have a nameplate by next meeting for easier identification.

SOCSCI

1. The info cards are due tomorrow. For the specifications, check the paper I photocopied with the Econ syllabus attached to it.

MATH

1. Copy definitions from TCWAG6 Ch. 10.1/TC7 Appendix: Parabola and write them down on your notebook. Don't forget to put the submission format in the inside front flap of the notebook.

ENG

1. By now, you should have a copy of Edith Hamilton's "Mythology" because I think we're going to start discussing it part by part. So I suggest that you should start reading the first few pages soon.

PHYSICS

1. The electroscope is due on June 16, 2011 so you should've started testing your design if it works or not.

2. Answer the 3-number homework on your notebook:

1. EDIT: If two charges are fixed such that the distance r between them them does not change, but the charge q1 is increased, will the electric force become stronger or weaker?
2. If the charges are not changed, but they are moved farther apart (The distance r becomes bigger), will the electric force become stronger or weaker? 
3. Which is stronger, the electric force or the gravitational force? Give a numerical example to support your answer.

3.  Also bring the following tomorrow:

• Intermediate Pad - for those who haven't given yet
• Notebook (216 x 280)
• Serway Book with plastic cover and your name and section on it
• Scientific Calculator
• 1 in x 1 in photo - for those who haven't given yet

1. The 3-5 topic proposals are due on Friday, June 17, 2011.

1. Everyone should have the Blue Book by now, which Kaye will buy from UP. So just get it from her once she has bought it already.

CAT

1. Specifications on the uniform:

• Proper Haircut for Boys, Hairnet for Girls
• Plain White Round Neck Shirt
• Maong Pants (Not Skinny Jeans) for Cadets, Red Shorts for Medics
• Black Socks for Cadets, White Socks for the Medics
• Black Belt (preferrably Garrison)
• Leather Shoes for Cadets, Rubber Shoes for Medics
• Tickler (100 pages): Blue - Cadets, Green - MP, Red - Medics
• Panda Ballpens (1 Black, 1 Blue, 1 Red)
• White Hankerchief (no design, as in nothing talaga)
• Med Kit for the Medic
• You should wear absolutely nothing on your arm and neck areas during CAT Period

CLASS RELATED:

1. Pay the class funds soon to JJ, P100 a month.
