19 December 2011

Dear Students, Parents, Teachers and Staff, and Alumni,

The PSHS Main Campus is undertaking a donation drive to help the victims of typhoon Sendong in the PSHS Lanao Campus, in particular, and Cagayan de Oro City, in general.  The PSHS Lanao Campus Director Dr. Jose Marlon A. Caumeran has sent a letter requesting assistance.  His letter reported that at least five personnel of the Lanao Campus have been affected by the flashfloods; one of them is still missing.  They are still doing a survey of students who may also have been affected.

As one community, let us extend to them our assistance, in cask or in kind.  Donations in king (e.g. canned goods, rice, noodles, clothes, and sleeping materials) may be forwarded to the SSD Office. For donations in cash, you may deposit this in the SA BPI Account indicated below:

Account Name:                PSHS MC-Student Alliance (Emergency Fund)

                                Account Number:            004233-0218-44

BPI Trinoma Branch (0423- BPI Trinoma)

Swift Code:                       BOPIPHMM (for overseas donations)

The SA will forward all donations to the PSHS Lanao Campus, through the Office of the Executive Director (OED).

Your generosity is much needed and will be greatly appreciated.

Very truly yours,

Jessica Kabigting

My dearest batch mates,

Now that our exams are over, let us celebrate with our sections at the 3rd floor second-year classrooms, from 12NN to 2 PM, tomorrow. Our parents have already readied the food and drinks for each class, so your attendance (and probably your gifts to classmates) will be the only thing needed. After this, I invite you to participate at our mini-BaCon at the 3rd floor auditorium where your graduation pictures will be distributed.

Also, I encourage you to submit your prom pre-invites by tomorrow. Batch 2013 will need all our participation if we want OUR prom to be a success. You may give these forms during the BaCon.

Electron and Truth, break your legs. And everyone, the batch council hopes to see you tomorrow and wishes you a Merry Christmas! My dearest batch mates,

Diorama Making on Saturday

Okay, so Raffy has agreed to let his house be the location of our party/diorama-making day. Wait :)), this is serious.

Saturday would be the only day that we have in order to make the diorama. Everything is due on Tuesday. If we don't finish by Saturday and the half-day on Monday, consider us doomed.

Therefore, here're four things:
1) I need a list of people who're coming on Saturday. If you can't come, go on Monday. If you don't go on either, then help in some other way. Otherwise, I can't give you a grade. I'll pass out the paper tomorrow for the list.
2) Who can provide transportation? So far, it seems like nobody can provide it, so I think the only thing we can do is to meet up at PSHS by 8:00 and commute the way to Raffy's house. It's not really that far (well, the one we're going to at least). Comment below.
3) Get all materials by Saturday. If your group doesn't have materials yet, you will be spending 2 hours waiting for stores to open and another 2 hours buying. That's a BIG waste of time. Please buy the materials ASAP.
4) ALL PEOPLE (EXTERNS AND DORMERS) ARE TO STAY ON MONDAY UNTIL "GOD KNOWS WHAT TIME WE WILL FINISH OUR PROJECT." I'm telling you this now for a reason. Go tell your parents NOW so that you will be allowed to go. Don't schedule ANYTHING on the Monday half-day. If you really can't go, then you have to give me a foolproof reason. Because really, no excuses.

Note: I bought some more thin wire for the violence group. Promise, it's thin this time and easy to mould :)).

Other things:
1) Edmond's found a stick already.
2) OH GOD WE LOST ALL THE WOOD. AGAIN.
4) NOTE THAT the diorama presentation includes an ORAL DEFENSE. So please make sure you can defend your part orally.
3) Anyway, good luck to us! We can do it guys!

For Tomorrow:
Chem
1) The homework! Answer in 1-whole.

Health
1) Perio! Powerpoint - Thanks to the Graviton site.
2) Poster is due 12 nn tomorrow.

...I think that's it. Good luck!

- JJ 8D.

Batch 2012 please support our school's robotics team. It's competing next Thursday and Friday, and one of the prizes will be allotted to the most popular robot. Please like this image on Facebook.

Thank you and please spread this to friends, families, and strangers.

on Tuesday, October 18, 2011
I usually don't like being the annoying leader who pesters people, but I have to be one right now :)). Sorry.

-Begin Transmission-

I expect that since there are no more periodical exams tomorrow, people will actually work. We're not going with the whole "oh okay we're all busy so it's okay if we don't work. Let's work next time" anymore. I expect that people can and will work if they are not Webdev (who have a project to pass by 4).

So here's what we're going to do tomorrow. At 11:00 A.M., everyone who can work and will work MUST be at the back of the girls dorm. If you cannot work, you must tell me between 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM that you cannot work and you must provide a valid reason why. You must then assure me that your group will have progress even without you. As much as possible, I want the people who can work to be there.

If you can work and you don't out of indolence, don't expect your part to just magically be finished. Don't expect your grade to be magically 1.00 either.

If your group cannot progress tomorrow, then talk to me about it.

If you have complaints about working ALL DAY tomorrow - yes, we will work all day as much as we can - then consider the fact that we were supposed to work during the past two days, but we didn't. Consider the fact that we don't have free time on Thursday. Consider the fact that our free time on Friday amounts to almost nothing. Consider the fact that this is due on Tuesday next week. Consider the fact that our perio didn't go so well, and we all need a better grade :)).

Aside from that, we will schedule a work day on Saturday. Do note that if you're not going to show up tomorrow, and your group can't progress because you didn't show up, you can't tell me that your group will "just finish everything on Saturday." Plain and simple, you can't :)). It's a Saturday. We all want to be at home, and we're all tired from perios, so I highly doubt that we're going to be productive on Saturday. It should be just a "let's put the finishing touches" day.

Specifics/Agenda:
1) The violence group has their wire and their styrofoam already. No more excuses for not working :)).
2) Incontinence has all the stuff they need as well to start.
3) Fraudulence has enough to start (well, except for the corrugated plastic, which we can solve through number 7).
4) Finish the bases tomorrow. On Saturday, the only thing you should be doing is putting stuff on the bases. Not constructing the bases.
5) Edmond: Please bring the pole and the wooden circles tomorrow. If it's not with you, then who has it? Because we might have lost them again :)).
6) Maki: Please bring your laptop tomorrow :)).
7) At any point in time, the groups might suddenly need a material that they don't have. I need two to three externs who can go back and forth from Trinoma/SM North who can get the materials quickly. If you go there, you mustn't stay any more than 1 hour unless you need to. I NEED VOLUNTEERS BY THE END OF TONIGHT. PLEASE COMMENT BELOW. THANK YOU.

To put simply, none of the groups have anymore excuses for not progressing tomorrow :)). So please, progress.

Other Notes:

Guys, we really have to consider planning a work thingy on Saturday so that we can finish this or make it really nice. Please tell me who can go. If you cannot go, tell me why. I'll try to make the work thing be at PSHS but that's probably not gonna happen since we'd need a supervising teacher. Who can volunteer their house/place/hotel/beach/kingdom? We really need it. Everyone's busy all throughout this week and Saturday's our only day of happiness. So obviously we have to ruin that by putting English in it. So yeah. Someone volunteer their house/place/hotel/beach/kingdom.

"Hear ye! Hear ye! Yea, now befalleth upon us the days of infernal torment (periodicals). All ye men and damosels on whom the hearth shineth, ne'er shall you exeunt the grounds of the palace to your house 'til the clock striketh the hour of 2 and the minute upon 30 of the afternoon. Yea, thither shall you work hither and thither on diorama, toileth and troubleth for each time. Whereupon we shall gat it done before we are beset by conflict. Yea, I doth proclaimeth this lest we suffer torment further after the infernal torment.

Upon inspection tomorrow, thy squires (materials people) must hath brought materials to school yonder. Undying wrath shall beset those who disobey, whereupon the skies shall fill with death. I spaketh this with truth, yea. God speed all ye."
